A man is dead after he was shot by two people trying to steal his truck outside of a West Side restaurant Saturday night, according to San Antonio Police.
The shooting occurred around 8:20 p.m. at The Good News Burgers, formerly knows as Papa’s Burgers, located in the 900 block of SW 36th Street.
Police said a man in his 50s was leaving the restaurant when two men approached him with a gun and demanded his truck.
An altercation occurred, and one of the men fired multiple gunshots. The man was shot at least twice and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Officers said the two men took off on foot and were seen going south of the restaurant.
